Teignmouth has many pubs, shops, and places to eat.

There are numerous cafes and restaurants serving a variety of foods including Indian, Chinese, Italian, with many cafes serving traditional British fare.

Try the local bakeries and tea rooms for a variety of cream teas and of course even though you are in Devon try out the many types of Cornish Pasties (my favourite is the Curry one)

Relish on Somereset Place make great fresh coffee, sandwiches and burgers to take away or enjoy at one of their outside tables.

If you are looking for fine dining but want to keep your shorts and T Shirt on then try DECKS beach bar next door to the Ship INN. Excellent food, fairly priced served with a smile and you couldn't get closer to the sea. (I recommend anything fishy)
